Two things today:

  1. A coworker is out with Covid. I worked with her last week while she was sneezing & had a runny nose. But I had my N95 on, & was also airing the house out so I did not get sick.
(Always air out your vacation rental for at least an hour, folks)

Mastodon needs to see Violet Affleck. Not only does she wear 3M Auras and FloMasks consistently, she's also trying to show her mindset with the book she's carrying.

Centuries ago, Venice was a major world power, with trading routes & influence throughout the world. Got notice plague was on the way, but to preserve commerce opted not to do anything to counter. 1/3 of the city died in ensuing outbreak, at all levels of society.

A pandemic habit I’ve kept: I set out free seedlings for people in the neighborhood to take.

I got COVID-19 back in mid-February for the first time. I'm feeling a lot better, but I have strange lingering symptoms. It's April 7th. Tired and loss of focus by 2pm, and ever since I got infected, I've been smelling weird odors and having similar aftertastes. Not consistent at all. Has anyone else experienced these symptoms?

Please don't use phrasing that suggests the pandemic is over (e.g. "during Covid"). This kind of harmful denialism drives me nuts and it's everywhere.
