Wasn't access to the Hamas tunnels found in a hospital early on in the invasion of Gaza? Also, didn't the director of said hospital admit to being a member of Hamas?

Israel lies about tunnels. Western news crews even caught them staging guns around one to try and pretend it was used by Hamas, before allegedly flooding the next claimed tunnel and refusing to ever let people see it.

Israel has since raided other Gaza hospitals on similar allegations, forcing them to shut down or dramatically reduce services even as tens of thousands have been wounded in Israeli strikes or sickened in the harsh conditions of the war.

I'm honestly at the point where I would be more surprised if Israel didn't abuse him in custody. That's not to downplay the seriousness of this - only to highlight the consistency of the depravity of Israeli security forces when dealing with Palestinians.

Israel's claims at this point are similar to Russia's - whenever I hear them, I generally assume the opposite is true. You only get so many lies before people start seeing a pattern.
