Favorite home cooked meal that you didn't have to cook.

Since joining the great resignation I've been constantly amazed by how nice it is to not rush though life because there's only maybe 4 usable hours in a day for myself. Now I'm able to just pet my cat without feeling guilty or that there's something more important that I should be doing.

Fuck the rat race. I'm never going back to that life.

Anticorp ,

What is the great resignation?

TheAnonymouseJoker ,

People realised during the pandemic that slaving yourself away to corporations for more money is not worth it. You do not need as much money for living a good life, as Warren Buffett and other capitalists tell you.

missing the ultimate in sinful comfort. Long bath.

I'll have the night of good sleep followed by the day nap. If it goes well, just maybe I repeat it on Sunday.

Hurt my back 2 days ago. This looks like my day except I can't move or focus on anything and I'm in constant pain.

@HubertManne@kbin.social avatar

as part of that your getting a good nights sleep and taking long walks???

Yerbouti ,

Well I would if I could. Tell that to someone who's stuck in an office.

Omega_Haxors , (edited ) in Don't forget to indulge in some luxuries this weekend!

I was expecting this to be a shitpost and spent an unreasonable amount of time scanning for the punchline.

Something like this
Krackalot ,

I still saw that personally.

Honytawk ,

To me that one looked like arson, so not much difference really

TheAnonymouseJoker ,

Ability to express your "worker" self freely is indeed the same as wanting to overthrow, burn and vaporise capitalism.

In my location its the dry season where butterflys are common and tussock plants grow taller.

"ability to freely express yourself" symbolized by a flame.

Should I be expressing myself with casual arson?

Nobody said the flames of your passion can't be literal. Shine bright fire bug.

I don't think that bird is singing, I think it's screaming as the worm round its neck takes revenge.

owen , in Don't forget to indulge in some luxuries this weekend!

mmmm... mornigs 🤤

Omega_Haxors ,

I'm honestly floored I didn't notice that. Was too busy looking for the punchline, I guess.

ironhydroxide , in Don't forget to indulge in some luxuries this weekend!

Yup. Not having to work all day every day so you don't starve and have a "safe" place to sleep, would allow one to do all these things.

jjagaimo ,

None of these should be luxuries. They're impossible for most people because they don't even have the bottommost tiers of the hierarchy of needs fulfilled

i observed the start of "local astronomical spring" this year. the first time the sun was high enough to shine directly into my eyes was feb4.

i observed the last day it shone into my eyes sometime in november.

For me it's the first good bit of right crunchy cronch of snow underboot. We only had it for maybe a week so far this winter, but it was still nice to take it in while it lasted.

Then there's the crish crush crunch of autumn leaves which are just the right crunchiness to crack like a crispy chip.
