I’ve started writing a “learning to draw to make better engineering sketchbooks” and was wondering which aspects I should focus on. Here’s a selection of some working pages from 2016 and 2022 (I started the endeavor in 2010).
Some more images of the progress over the years. This is from sketchbook nr6. I was using 160 pages sketchbooks at the time so it’s a span of maybe 8 months oO
2 years later around 2016 and also the time I stopped drawing because I burnt out. I since haven’t really picked it back up besides a short stint last summer.
@mnl Bill Donovan's "Advanced Fashion Drawing", exercise on negative space. Actually a good book that I sometimes recommend to people who are ok at drawing from observation and want to play around more with style, graphic qualities of things and such.
