It appears to be National Tea Day here in the UK (thanks to @sheepnik for highlighting this).

I should probably know this. But every day is tea day, surely.

Anyway, I hope everyone can have a nice cup of tea and a sit down. If this day is to celebrate British tea traditions, then it must presumably be obligatory to also have a biscuit and a moan about the weather.

I have just made a pot of longjing, and it's really quite miserable outside.

goodness! i shall have to hold one of those creepy, detached ceremonies, like when the queen's birthday is celebrated in the depths of the jungle by "explorers" (ahem) with malaria and dysentery.

i wll yes definitely also employ a biscuit and a moan: it's extraordinarily wimdy today again.

i wish you both a happy and comforting tea day. and less crappy weather.

@moonrabbit @sheepnik I hope you're having a better day today. Even if it is blowing a hoolie.

@RolloTreadway @sheepnik thanks for the heads up - you’ve put me in mind to make scones to go with some tea later (and cream and jam ofc). Sorry miserable weather where you are Rollo. It’s sunny here but not forecast to hold so have a cream tea while the sun shines is my new motto!
