Funny how wealthy Americans will readily accuse Biden of “buying votes” with student debt forgiveness but had no issue with Trump signing massive tax cuts for themselves. Hello?
@rbreich I'm just an old Canadian but are you folks not extremely concerned about the lack of benefits upcoming via Trump vs. the ONCE AGAIN, remarkable benefits about to be received by the already wealthy? Wealth & it's influence will vote for Trump of course. Why would they not? OR, do you think they give a tinkers damn about the ordinary family doing their best? Give your head a shake! And for god sake, when is enough enough? Never by the looks of it.
@rbreich the thing is, they're "navigationally challenged" - they all agree with giving away loads of money. It's just that they differ from others about what should be it's destination.
@rbreich Remember that we want fairness in taxes by all citizens paying their taxes. Just tell them to PAY YOUR TAXES! Cheating on taxes is a crime against all that pay their fair share of taxes.
@rbreich
And rest assured, if this was #DefendantTrump’s plan, Republicans would be elbowing each other out of the way to be first in line to kiss trump’s ass.
@rbreich Or you know, you could just vote for RFK Jr. The one candidate in this race who is actually working and fighting for the American people. #EndTheTwoPartySystem
@rbreich
If Trump is found guilty of insurrection, could wealthy supporters be treated similarly to wealthy confederates who were barred from receiving amnesty?
@rbreich
Forgiving loans automatically puts money back into the economy, my spending has certainly changed since mine were forgiven. That helps everyone.
It's also relieving an ACTUAL burden on people.
Whereas tax cuts for a handful of wealthy people just helps them. That money moves between them, if it moves at all. It doesn't trickle down, it pivots laterally.
And giving wealthy people tax cuts is like giving addicts coupons for meth.
