@rbreich I'm assuming that you, too, remember the 1960s-era meme and book, "The Whole World Is Watching"? We need something more-powerful than Just Getting Angrier.
It's about using the lack of a social safety net to effectively disenfranchise women, especially black women.
Nothing like impoverished single parenthood to force people to unplug from democracy in favor of feeding & housing their children on minimum wage employment.
It's also why Republicans fight so hard to prevent increases in wages.
@rbreich Sure, maybe it’s about control. But I think that’s probably attributing to evil (control) what is more easily attributed to stupid (self-delusion). I mean, they are also the states which suckle at the federal teat AND hate federal “meddling” because they are libertarian house cats. The dismaying part is that you can’t defeat this kind of stupid without education, which these numbskulls will fight every step of the way.
