@futurebird I always wonder what ocean weather was like in the era of Panthalassa. Larger ocean, and during much of that time, also a warmer climate. Sometimes much warmer.

Yes and I still find it hard to visualise, even though I know that if you scaled the Atlantic down to the size of a dinner table, its thickness would be comparable to the table cloth, not more.
Same is true for geological rock layers. When I was a student, we once had to draw rock layers of the local mountains with the same vertical and horizontal scale, not (as usual) using a much larger vertical scale. Everything just looked flat!
