Wow, raining hard here in Phoenix and that is so unusual and weird. So much rain already that 2/3 the patio has water running in. Fortunately most of our backyard and patio things are raised up above ground level. The forecast is 100% rain at 8 and at 9 pm. Maybe flash floods around here tonight. #Arizona#Rain
@cobalt the patio furniture wouldn't be my first concern in flash floods, how high is the house, off the ground? Be prepared to move in quick time, stay safe.
@Rasta it’s not furniture but many boxes of STUFF I’ve been sorting out for save/give away/trash. There will be many car accidents here, flash floods really aren’t well controlled at all in Phoenix. There will be many intersections deep enough no cars can get thru.
@cobalt I hope you have enough supplies, meds, wine, cannabis , food and water, if roads are impassable. We were in our summer home when hurricane Fiona hit. Couldn't go anywhere, a tree across the highway every 1/4 mile, had to be cut away as you went
@Rasta now that I see your list, we are good here! I just wish this night could repeat again a few times this summer. We’re the place in world news last summer with 55+ days in a row over 110°, often at 115°. There was no rain at my area for 3 1/2 months.
@cobalt
"It's raining in Phoenix, everyone forget how to drive over 20mph, except lifted trucks, you get to go 110"
reminds me of those first snow events of the year. Suddenly everyone is either flying down the road, or in the ditch, while others creep along with 4-way flashers on
