Sunday dawned sunny & warm, like a cuddle from a beloved friend 😊

Which was just what I needed given my left big toe is now as big as my entire right foot!

Given that my left foot is very much not weight bearing, today will be a day of R&R.

I've set up a fresh pot of coffee, it's still too early though. My wife won't be up for a few hours, it would be old coffee by then. I'll split the difference. I will wait an hour before my next cup of coffee and leave her the rest

Good morning. I was up early, paid some bills (telephone banking) and catching up on stuff that was neglected a month. Wife has the only photos of the trip from day 2-day 5, I was driving, her camera needs a card reader and she can't find hers. YIKEs.
Other than that, Orange Jesus was convicted on all Felony charges.

I missed these morning plays. I've had lots of things on my mind, and would have been unable to play anyway but I have been working on my messed up sleep patterns and I had a near-perfect night last.. I should be doing even better.

    I can't believe how many plants I've grown, too early, and too many.. A whole room is stacked with boxes of plants on tables and boards to reach window light and supplement with extra grow bulbs.
    I'm going to give my friends a tray and let them keep half to save half for me, when the ground is ready to plant them.

    @dillyd We're still freezing at night. They probably aren't safe until end May.
    My trees will do OK, but they can burn in a greenhouse this time of year. More attention if inside than out. My neighbour said he'd babysit a dozen pear trees and some tomatoes and peppers until I can plant them next month. He's got an empty house. But he's not like me. Many won't make it.
    I'll give him twice what I'd like to have, an see if they are living when I open up the summer home

    @dillyd Yes, we don't open up the Summer home until May usually. It's cooler there, a bit north of the city, in another grow zone. I can leave stuff out near the city, there's more residual heat than in rural areas. We don't have any heat source except a wood stove in the kitchen. for that morning chill.

    @dillyd It was too cold in my driveway to go get groceries. My windows frost heavy overnight and I get no sun in the driveway before noon. I could SCRAPE the windows, but it's April, I'd rather just let the sun warm up a bit before I drive.
    BUT, by afternoon, I put on coveralls to change my oil, and I needed them on, crawling under, but I was dying from the heat. I was a puddle of sweat.
    And in the morning, my windows were frozen and my door rubber came off sticking on the truck

    @dillyd But it's not like that all over. Further inland, they get more heat, and are starting blossoms. But Nova Scotia runs SW to NE, and while it's still in HALIFAX (Rural), my other home is in a different grow zone. When we have lilacs in the city, and I go for groceries and head back out, it's two weeks before we get lilacs, or fruit tree blossoms.
    Hard to believe it's so northerly cool for a 90 min drive. And earlier in the year, it goes through 2-3 zones. Like snow, no snow, not plowed

    I usually wait awhile to say hello, in case I generate conversations before I'm ready to sit still. The cat and I watch the late night comedy hosts that I fell asleep watching or don't play here. They are on YouTube when I wake.

    I remember one Easter as a child. We lived on a small ranch with my grandparents. When we went hunting for the Easter eggs, I found one that was hidden the prior year. It was an interesting moment, not pleasant though. Not long after that, our very next Easter was aboard a troop ship headed for Japan. I recall little plastic yellow chicks, hours of fun. The ship was the USS St Patrick. I've tried to find a record of the ship on the line, but to no avail.

    @Melinda Both the boys are beside me, my wife has said each of them are her cat at one time, matter of fact, Jasper is exactly that. Against my better judgement, we adopted the one others returned, dysfunctional, abused, nervous. I rescued Teddy but my wife had to have him, he's a snuggle bug. But they love me more. I can't get away from them. Teddy saw your cat before I did. He studies my PC screen. Jasper sleeps uninterested on the chair below him.
    Fluffy girl, sure hard to find a tick ?
