@Rasta I'm glad she's ok. It can happen anytime. I was walking with my husband once, all of a sudden I was face down on the ground. And I don't know why.
@EllieK Not so badly ,but at the time, it was just her ego that bruised. I've had some spills on the morning ice, and it wrenches your back or pull something. If I hadn't caught her, she'd have broken something. Her feet went right out from under her, the cane went up and she went down. I had one hand on her that pivoted her round me to a smooth landing but the twist was fast
@Rasta
It’s sounds like it could have been a lot worse if you hadn’t been there to catch her. 🤗
I’m allergic to the outdoors right now, but I’m very cautious when hiking, the ground is so uneven.
@jeanettepizzurro WTF have you been LOL , I was worried sick. Brian only showed up once. I gave him shit after his hard day too LOL
Staying inside? Is it the weather?
I was getting a fast march cadence for 2 kms each morning before sunrise until I had some near slips. And those types of sudden movement can pull or strain a muscle and put you out of commission for some time
@Rasta
I’m happy you missed me.🤗 I never had such miserable allergy attacks in Feb, wasn’t prepared. I had cathouse windows opened, can’t do that. Pollen count is super high. Just today meds and nasal spray are helping. I’ll try to do better. 😁
@jeanettepizzurro I didn't realize it was that severe so early. I worry our plans might be too late. Into a warm season.
I've never been overly bothered by pollen until I was working in Ottawa, and they had to give me steroid nasal spray. There's more ragweed up there. At home, I should wear my mask mowing but I forget. The disturbed grass makes my nose pour.
@Rasta
It usually isn’t bad until April or May. But those 80F 26C days prompted the trees to bud/bloom way too early.
I’m curious what our spring temperatures will bring. It’s cooled off to more normal temperatures right now and if it rains like predicted the pollen count will lower.
@jeanettepizzurro Me, as a tree grower, fear early starts. The blossoms come out to early, the late frost kills the blossoms and zero produce that year. that happened last year. Many more of my orchards should be ready to produce, including 5 special apple trees I bought and matched to each other and location. No friggin apples.
@Rasta
I remember all the work you put into the trees and nothing was produced.
If our temps don’t drop to low it should be ok for ones that are budding.
What about your trip this spring?
