Why should they? Practically all US media is corporate owned, right, as it should be, and how is it in their owners interest for them to distribute anti-corporate messages even if they happen to be facts. The peons prefer entertainment anyway, not news.
There is a reason why private owned media and the right hate our European style public, independent media. If done correctly, that provides a basic of relatively bias free, trustable news to large parts of the population.
@yacc143 It's not just AMERICA (USA), Canada (and I am sure UK, AU, NZ) all have one or two major news media owners. FOR EXAMPLE #BellCanada was able to Censor news from the Federal Telecommunications Regulator, just by not putting it on the stations they control, radio, TV and printed media. They can't be trusted. #CTVNews#CRTC#CdnPoli
@Rasta@rbreich That would defeat their purpose as propagandists. A better suggestion is that they should stop being propagandists and start actually being what they claim to be, journalists.
@Rasta@rbreich they're saving their skins for the climate catastrophes they have caused, oceans warmer than ever? need money as a backup, (common sense would say fix the problem so you don't have to hoard but based on the lunacy of our system we know reason does not prevail here)
Now that I think about it, it's odd that people on either side are upset at the media: one side for telling too much of the truth, and the other side for not telling enough of the truth.
@Simone21 That term is well known and used. It's every trick in the book, inflation goes up 5% and the weekly bread you buy goes up 15%. Shrinkflation, Greedfaltion.. we're paying for their waste of carbon, they aren't reducing to pay less, they are charging consumers to pay for their carbon use
