Three juvenile Great Horned Owls were perched in fairly open locations in my yard this afternoon. One owl really likes one particular location that's quite low. The other two tend to choose different spots, usually higher up and more concealed. The birds were mostly in the shade with bright sunlight created challenges for the camera exposure settings.

Another juveline great horned own sits on a larger tree branch, framed on two sides by tree trunks. The owl is facing toward the camera.
Another juvenile great horned owl sits on a large tree branch with the back toward the camera. It is up high, looking down and toward the right.
