Good morning from Cornwall, which has done as good a job of making it a Tory-free zone as Wales has.
My own North Cornwall has gone to the LibDems, which I am glad to say I helped and which saved me having to vote Labour.

(Sshhh... I'm a Green party member - it wasn't a target for us at all, but fantastic to see all four Green target seats gained)

I'm annoyed with Stockton West - if it wasn't for those idiots, the whole of Northumberland and Durham would be Tory-free.

Still, Teesside is a world unto itself and doesn't really count as the northeast, so I'll take the win as it is.

@RolloTreadway @scribblans That’s the old Stockton South constituency? If so it always was a PITA we used to be sent out from Middlesbrough CLP to help out back in the 1980s.

@DavidTanner @scribblans Yep. Have to say, my interactions with Teesside in my job have not given me particularly positive opinions on the area.

@RolloTreadway @scribblans Only place I’ve lived where

  1. Fights used to regularly break out at CLP meetings between different factions
  2. National Front smashed the windows in during one of our meetings

I’m not actively involved anymore 😀
