One thing I have been doing during the pandemic is binging older series that I never had a chance to watch originally. I have now completed watching the entire 20 years of Grey's Anatomy and binging that was a fascinating experience.

@Acantigue that one did a delightful job of highlighting the power of drawing metaphors between the a-plot issues and the b-plot character dilemmas which is a handy thing to learn.
