    I'm watching the Daggerheart basics video. Game looks interesting, but I find it so distracting that they're addressing the center camera, but they keep being filmed by the left or right one.

    One thing that most books are really bad about is making a character.

    They space out the information, so you have to flip through 4–5 different chapters just to know what to do.

    It should be a single line. You should be able to read one chapter, straight through, and be done with your character by the end of it.

    First impressions of , the detective/horror game, as I prepare to run a game for a girlfriend and some of her friends.

    1. This is not a game system designed for campaigns. It's designed for one-shots, convention games, and short arcs. Investigations are meant to take about one session each, and it's not many sessions in even a fairly long arc.

    One interesting aspect of running a campaign is that I name the adventures ahead of time, like an episode title.

    There'll be 10 "episodes" total in this “season”, and I've run eight already, with the ninth next month:

    1. The Punic Man
    2. Aliens
    3. Spies
    4. The Most Dangerous Game
    5. Deadlines
    6. Eye for an Eye
    7. Safeguards
    8. Missing
    9. Sub Rosa

    Finale adventure of my campaign Season 1 is “Kill Switch” so the full list is:

    1. The Punic Man
    2. Aliens
    3. Spies
    4. The Most Dangerous Game

    9. Sub Rosa
    10. Kill Switch

    The team got themselves captured at the end of the“Sub Rosa”, so we get to have a fun “must escape from Goa’uld prison” adventure next time! Classic!
