Officials in #Nevada have formally certified a proposed amendment that would enshrine #abortion access in the state's constitution to appear on the November ballot.
Nevada is now the sixth state to put abortion rights directly before voters this year.
@GottaLaff Still waiting for Missouri Sec of State to finish slow-walking our petition through certification. We needed 250k sigs - got 380!! But this MAGA Super Majority state is fighting it every inch of the way...sigh
@GottaLaff But wait, it gets even better. The state legislator got an amendment on the August Primary ballot that would virtually negate all citizen petitions in the state - with wording guaranteed to rile up the MAGAts. IF that passes in August, it doesn't matter if they certify the abortion amendment - it won't be on the ballot in November. This would not stand up in court (well, at least before yesterday) but delay delay delay delay...ugh

@GottaLaff The ballot question must pass two consecutive elections, this one being the first, before it can go into effect. We're closer, but far, far away if Biden loses.
