It's #DisabilityPrideMonth :disability_pride:
Time for my annual PSA for #Video Creators: Subtitles Are Vital
Also, plan on them going Over your video
When you put important info at the bottom of the screen I have to pause, turn off subtitles, rewind, play it to see the info, pause, & turn subtitles back on- unless I miss it entirely because the subtitles hide it!
@KarinWanderer And thank you for updating. It's quite random as to whether a particular screen reader reads an all-caps word as that word or spelled out, and different screen readers may react differently to the same word.
@KarinWanderer 🙏 The other week I saw a documentary which was in different spoken languages and had the non-German parts subtitled, so I would get these but not neccessarily the German parts. Meaning I had to use a transciption app for these. Transcription app puts subtitles where it's suitable for me (i.e. center of screen), subtitled parts of the documentary itself ran all over the info on who was who etc. and like you say, either one misses a lot or (in my case) one loses spoons and patience.
