The difficulty lies in realizing that what we may have seen beforehand as 'balanced' reporting is an uncompromising reliance on the status quo of a billionaire state which joyously allows them to exist largely unmolested, with a very rare allowance for the occasional writer whose more liberal views allowed them to maintain a veneer of a balanced publication.

They push propaganda for the empire and have for a long time now. Sulzberger Jr’s grandfather, Arthur Hays Sulzberger (NYT publisher from 1935-61) signed a confidentiality agreement with the CIA and was a personal friend of John Foster Dulles. He was also a Rockefeller Foundation trustee. They’ve never been impartial, more people are just starting to notice now.
