It's easy to get grumpy at @ubuntu for decisions you may not love or agree with because your use case doesn't match those they were made for, but I think we owe them a big thank you for pouring the blood, sweat and tears they do into keeping our machines stable.
I just upgraded my development VM from 23.04 to 23.10 over an ssh session with do-release-upgrade and there was nary a hiccup.
I had to re-install a single Neovim plugin (I can handle two keystrokes in my plugin manager, thanks :), and that was it!
Really impressive stuff Canonical. While I don't know your names I also want to thank all the individual humans behind this effort. There's a lot of love in that distro, and it shows!
