@alice Ha. I almost didn't see that you reposted this. I nearly replied to your own repost by tagging you then saying "Is it true, would this impress you?" Lol
@alice I'm really just messing around. I'm still a beginner but I feel like I'm making progress. According to /r/lockpicking I'm spending all of my time on a green belt lock.
@alice@mek2600 This is great advice. Thanks. I thought for visualization the use of a see through lock is also helpful. https://www.adafruit.com/product/3804. If you disagree I’m curious why. I went to my first local lock-sport meetup recently and was trying to help some new people understand lock cylinder internals as the presentation given was only 2D. They were both able to open my see through lock pretty quickly.
@alice@mek2600 thank you for this! I just realized that I‘ve been going at this all wrong.
I got gifted a set of training locks, easily solving them all after some practice. Then I tried ACTUAL locks and of course failed because A crappy beginner tools and B no experience at all.
What do you suggest for someone who wants to learn to pick locks? Where to get tools and incrementally tougher locks to practice on?
