@randahl@jago The mute feature is great and 100% this (or block) is the solution for them. You can mute but leave notifications on, so you are notified if they mention you. Or disable notifications too, such as if you are mentioned in a thread. And with varying timescales - like a few hours, or permanent.
Most apps should support it. Would be considered a lacking feature if they don't, I think.
Definitely not on you to change your posting practices. Others have the control over what they see.
