Four years ago today, Trump called it "stupendous" and "joyous" news that American unemployment was only at 13.3%.

Four years later, unemployment has been under 4% for 27 straight months.

Yes, we are indeed better off than we were four years ago.

Aye, right. This is a particularly ignorant comment for you, as people have said the quality of jobs matter.

Here is an ex CFO from yahoo getting a kicking by Winnie Byanyima in 2019 for the same ignorance.

@rbreich I mean, you should realize that there was a pandemic and lockdown 4 years ago, and lots of people lost their jobs.

@rbreich yeah, but you need 6 of those jobs to afford to live.

mhz ,

@rbreich what about the quality of jobs ?

@rbreich
Do you think if we killed off another 1.25 disabled people we might be able to get that number below 1%?

I'm not suggesting that we do it, but I am pointing out that a tremendous and continuing burden was imposed upon the American people by the Biden Administration to arrive at that number.

@rbreich my experience is that unemployment is low because most people in my life have more than one job now in order to survive. I’ve been jobless for months and have applied to 50+ jobs that I’m well qualified for. Things are not going well

@rbreich if you think wage slavery is something to celebrate then you are apart of the problem...
