@randahl Well, a lot of US police forces are descended from the slave catchers and they will definitely vote for the one who offers the most money to policing... but I'm sure the majority are big on law and order.
Incidentally, look at the US slave, err sorry I mean chained people who do manual work for basically no money and are without a vote... population. The US Police are not like European police.
@randahl Some will not, but a lot of them live inside the Fox News/GOP disinformation bubble and believe he’s persecuted. Those will be certain to support him. The number put off of voting for him, as with the general population, may well be enough to lose him the election, though.
@randahl They will latch on to the "rigged show trial" narrative and vote for the criminal. The overriding police culture in the US is based on little-to-laughingly-insufficient training, grotesque militarization, toxic masculinity, and the worship of authoritarian ideology.
@randahl, what? Of course they will. US cops are power-hungry and probably admire the authoritarian/totalitarian of Trump and see him as a way for cops to get more freedom to commit their many crimes without consequences.
@randahl
There are a large number of military people who still remember being called suckers and losers by Trump, and while they can't serve if they are felons, I doubt that they cotton to having a felon Commander in Chief.
