Today's Republican message:

"Our guy is a convicted felon, so please donate now!"

199 people clicked the like button on that message in a country with 160 million registered voters.

Good luck with that.

The word Titanic comes to mind. And today it encountered a NY iceberg.

@stargazersmith Trump will be sentenced on July 11, and just 4 days later, the Republican party plans to nominate him as their presidential candidate.

The violins are playing in the ballroom as the Titanic is sinking.

@randahl
The GOP, or what's left of it, has a month or so to rethink why their chosen champion is a twice impeached, fraud and sexual assault convicted felon.

Is that truly the best they have to offer? Can they really expect good results from that kind of choice?

This is no longer the bus to Abilene they are on, it's the bus to hell.

@randahl But, how can a convicted felon be nominated for elections for a high, if not the highest position?@stargazersmith

randahl OP ,
@randahl@mastodon.social avatar

@energisch_ he can, because the constitution does not explicitly prevent it.

And it does not really matter, because a majority will never vote for the guy in prison. That much is certain.
