It helps to think of #republicans as falling into two groups: the deceivers and the deceived, or the assholes and the morons, respectively. Even the most craven legislators fall into this manipulative asshole group; they stand for nothing, instead embracing the beliefs of their propagandized/ignorant constituencies. Of all the horrible moves they make, the ones that cry "we'll show 'em! We'll deluge the country with more <insert state name> unwanted children!" are easily the cruelest.

The #legislation, which passed the #Louisiana State Senate by a vote of 29 to 7, now goes to Gov #JeffLandry, a #Republican who previously defended the state’s stringent #AbortionBan in court as AG. He is widely expected to sign it.
