Wow. A Fox anchor, Larry Kudlow, just said on Fox, “I was wrong about the slowdown and the recession. Everyone was wrong.” This is the truth. There is no recession. There is no slowdown. Our economy is strong & booming because of President Biden. Period. Be loud & proud. #ClusterFox
The big problem is arguing the economy is booming, is that most people do not feel it is.
If you are the CEO, CFO, Board of Directors, or Shareholder, you are likely laughing your way all the way to the bank.
But in the meantime, bragging about things such as job creation only translates that instead of working 1 full-time job, you can work 2-3 jobs, and still feel like you are living paycheck to paycheck.
Today, people are working more, earning more, while gaining less in life.
@GottaLaff Always curious as to what exactly any president did to affect the economy. Seems like The Fed has a bigger impact with their monetary policy.
@GottaLaff Well, there's another MAGAt who Trump is going to turn against. He demands absolute loyalty from his people while offering no loyally of his own. Let's see how long it takes for Trump to post a randomly capitalized tweet expressing his fury.
@servelan@GottaLaff
He says he was wrong, but boards are being rewarded for layoffs by goosed stock prices, while inflation remains high, and industry pocketing the increased margin.
There’s still a lot of runway this year for things to get worse and voters will get asked, “Are you better off now than 4 years ago?” either implicit or explicitly via campaign ads and debates.
@GottaLaff@paninid@servelan I wonder if the distinction here is the rate of inflation vs the already established inflated prices?
The rate of inflation going down means prices stopped rising as fast but it doesn't mean prices are down relative to last year.
With every company I've ever worked for explicitly stating that they never give cost of living raises, the already established high prices are still a problem even when they stop rising more.
