As part of his inauguration, president Putin has published a report presenting his goals for Russia in his coming 6-year term.
In this report — and this is golden — Putin expects to raise the life expectancy of Russians from 73 to 78 years… while his soldiers are being killed faster than the printer ink can dry.
This man is completely detached from reality.

@randahl And Putin is Lil’Donny’s mentor. Look in that direction if you want an image of the future USA with Mr Corrupt Sociopath at the helm. Btw, the reported meeting at Mar a Lago with the Oil Industry was telling. Just think how much $$$ he would pocket by eliminating the EPA…🔥🤔
@randahl does he have some K Nd of magic wonder supplement of which the world of, well, the whole rest of the world is totally unaware? I mean that's almost one year increase for every year of his term. Something of a tall ask I feel. Or is he planning to kill off any likely shorter lived citizens. Or the easier approach - stop getting his younger people killed in foreign wars. That'd be a good start. It'd bring the average up a bit.
@randahl life expectancy is from the date of birth at a given time.
Many people misunderstand this, especially in the media because they always leave it out as if you’ll suddenly live longer when it increases.
Importantly, “average life expectancy” is not the same and is a moving target, decreasing e.g. due to COVID.
If Russia captures Ukraine and averts a world war it’s possible, since the war is mostly about getting fertile crop land to dominate Europe during the coming climate catastrophe.
@randahl Expanding Russia's lifespan from 73 to 78 years is perfectly attainable for Putin - as long as he controls the data and the calculations, and anyone who challenges the figures is deemed an enemy of the state.
@randahl I am actually curious about the action points here. I truly am, since anyone can say this kind of horse hit but the AP's put the goal to the test.
@randahl
Unfortunately, there is no such thing as objective reality - everything is filtered through individual's perception and interpreted according to the individual's intelligence, desires, fears, morals and ethics.
Most politicians, the ultra wealthy, and big-business management, have almost no experience of the 'reality' experienced by the majority of people, resulting in their lack of empathy since most make no effort to understand the lives (and deaths) of the majority.
This is the problem in a nutshell when you have a czar, and your government is an authoritarian criminal shithole. Same for the new Chinese emperor, Xi. And they always say demoracy doesn't work using examples where we clearly fucked things up. But it's all a farce. One person can not possibly manage a society. It's not only illogical; it's dangerous as we've seen.
