Benjamin Netanyahu says he will defy the entire democratic world's calls for a pause and attack Rafah, and his security minister calls for "total annihilation" of Gaza.
Is it really that surprising, The International Criminal Court is about to issue arrest warrants for these men?
@randahl I've been staring at this "We'll make a deal Hamas will like" Blinken news and it just doesn't balance with what Netanyahu says.
If you're going to attack ANYWAY, well, why would anyone come to the table and talk?
It's apparent he really doesn't want peace. It's seemingly apparent that the U.S. government doesn't either, that for whatever reason we're tied to Israel so closely...
Worse yet, this is the only democracy in the Middle East acting this way. Hard sell for democracy.
Identity 15-3 (Samuel 15-3) Dragging out the war. The attack plan for Rafah, requiring an insane amount of things going perfectly to work as advertised, doesn’t really, not when combat isn’t the main form warfare being pursued.
@randahl Given the destruction Israel has Smote Gaxa with, I wonder the attitude/opinion that Jews are the Chosen People of God. Israel's attacks on HAMAS, and ultimately Palestinians is a scene from the Old Testament......But, none of them are listening to God..
@randahl Why would Hamas agree to a deal when they are being told they will be killed regardless. No wonder the families of the Israeli hostages are so angry. Netanyahu wants a forever war, just like Putin.
@randahl It's unacceptable. Rafah is too densely crowded with innocent people. There's nowhere for them to go but back north to ruins to escape bombing. A ground invasion would also be a disaster, terrorizing children. Madness.
