Greatest B-movie ever? My vote goes for Bloodsport.

ouRKaoS ,

I would like to nominate The Last Dragon.

It was described to me as "Dev Patel and his army of transgender women fight fascists" and that's exactly what I got. 10/10

Eyck_of_denesle ,

Hijras identify themselves as the third gender and not as trans.

It's never too late to make a mediocre movie off a game.

And off a mediocre game at that

Ubisoft does not have a great track record when it comes to movie adaptions. I'm keeping my expectations low.

I saw a better version of this at the park the other day.

Cool. I hope it follows Aiden Pierce and the first game's story with the breakneck tonal inconsistencies that happen when

the player character is a completely broken man due to the death of his niece... using that energy to end the lives of hundreds of innocents in the pursuit of revenge, just don't think about it

I loved this movie as a kid. Also Kurt Russell was hot.

Why is The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 on this list?

Sure I understand that fans at the time didn’t want the book to be split into two movies. But it was a fantastic movie that stays very true to the Mockingjay book. Both Parts 1 & 2 of the movies I view as a singular movie.

autotldr Bot , in Superman, Frodo and Star Wars: the stunning life of Kiran Shah – the world’s smallest stuntman

This is the best summary I could come up with:

He has also worked with just about every blockbuster director out there: Lucas, James Cameron, Steven Spielberg, Peter Jackson, Ridley Scott, Terry Gilliam, JJ Abrams.

Shah’s stature (he is just under 4ft 2in, or 126cm, according to Guinness World Records), combined with his fearlessness, have helped him find a niche in cinema that has led to an absurdly storied career, not to mention an MBE last month for his services to the film industry.

Thus, Shah found himself in the iconic Superman costume (and a Christopher Reeve mask), winched up high in the air on wires and swung around for several days with his fist extended in front of him.

On Titanic, Shah stunt-doubled for all the children, which meant continuously falling and sliding off decks, being deluged by tons of water in the corridors and basically drowning in myriad ways, all while not being able to swim.

He had a whale of a time in New Zealand, marching through the landscape in his hairy hobbit feet, doing horseback stunts, sword fighting and boating down rivers with Viggo Mortensen (who found it hilarious that Shah couldn’t swim).

He’s done plenty outside cinema, too: television comedy, music videos, working in nightclubs where he met a lot of rock stars: “Lennon, Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, George Harrison, Pink Floyd …”

There was a lot about it to like but I felt the fight direction spoiled it - far too much Jason Bourne-style lobbing the camera around.

Eyck_of_denesle ,

Apparently the production went throughout a lot. They even used their phone for filming some of the stuff when the camera broke. It's also Dev Patel's first venture into directing so his work would only get better.

UKFilmNerd Mod , in Sony won't phase out Blu-ray movie and game discs, only ceasing production on consumer BD-R
@UKFilmNerd@feddit.uk avatar

I remember the day bluray won the format war. Was very tempted to buy the HD-DVD add on for my Xbox360 but held of.

Different film studios were backing each side and the last to call it was Warner Bros who chose bluray and that was it.

DragonTypeWyvern ,

I'm actually a little upset he's a driver and this isn't a movie about the real athletes.

keyez ,

There is already a insanely popular show on Netflix about the real athletes every season so a movie about them as well is probably a little unnecessary. I know nothing about this script but hopefully based on a true story or something.

CitizenKong ,

A sixty year old F1 driver is probably not based on reality.

daqu ,

What about a comedy with Günther Steiner calling everyone at the fictional team 'Hees' a wanker, kicking out his driver and taking his seat?
