Need some advice on lighting a display of old Bakelite radios. Suggestions on things like type of light bulb (i.e. led, fluorescent), soft v. hard, brightness, etc. appreciated. ( lemmy.world )

Those are the radios in the photo. I adjusted the light levels, but it's not bright enough on that shelf....

I design and 3D Printed the smallest friction hing, I think is possible at 10mm ( lemmy.world )

So I wanted a small, and thin friction hing for another project, and I couldn't find the metal ones that they use for the iPad's Magic Keyboard case. So I design my own the parts I had on my desk....

Took thousands of hip hop lyrics, combined them into one file and then analyzed that text using Python for networks of rhyming words. Which is what you see here in this map. Lot's of fun. ( files.catbox.moe )

I sourced the data from dozens of 90s hip hop songs. Then used Python to analyze that file, and D3 to visualize the information. Here is a GitHub repo with the code I used. And here is a YouTube video exploring that code and how it all works together....

We planted a variety of plants, at different stages of growth. After a bit of experimentation, cosmos grow extremely well. These were cuttings we put in just a couple weeks ago, and they're already bigger than most of the other plants that have been in there for over a month....
