@rsf92 @pluralistic As someone who left a fiber connection in Japan for Comcast (ewww) cable (ewww) and now a fixed wireless connection in the USA, I can 100% attest to how much better fiber is. And it was cheaper!

At least my fixed wireless connection is run by a local ISP.

This means the two richest men on earth want to dismantle the agency that holds them accountable for union busting.

Today's job: Finish taking the sand out of the pool filter. Only recently I learned that this thing was filled with sand and that sand needs replacing every 5 years or so. My mom also didn't know that, so I think this sand has never been changed since she bought this place back in 2006. The sand is now calcified and I gotta attack it with the power washer to get it out.
