Alabama’s gotten me
So upset
Tennessee made me
Lose my rest
And everybody
Knows about
Mississippi Goddam

Since the 1960s I cannot think of another solo artist who had five consecutive excellent albums.

I can think only of Stevie Wonder—a true genius and Afrocentric humanist.

1972–Music Of My Mind
1972-Talking Book
1973-Innervisions
1974-Fufillingness’ First Finale
1976-Songs In The Key Of Life

@popcornreel I listened almost exclusively to Stevie Wonder for a few years late 70s early 80s. I think the first 45 I ever bought for myself as a child was Superstition when it came out. He had so much great music to listen to. It all meant something.

@JoBlakely Back then those songs and albums stuck to me like glue. And they still do to this day, even more so. Stevie was phenomenal in that era. And as you said, the music was so meaningful. And despite having a vast music collection I still end up playing the Seventies Stevie Era more often than most (except jazz).

BREAKING: UN Security Council approves in a 14-0 vote, a new resolution calling for immediate ceasefire in Gaza. US abstains in the vote.

This was the only way that President Biden could have delivered this speech tonight. He wasn't kind or deferential. He was spirited, combative, hopeful and unwavering. Ever the optimist. I think the man does care. He must keep pushing for that ceasefire. 100.

When games get played in politics, media and daily life, does the average person recognize the play? More importantly—what is the average person’s proactive strategy or approach on how they will navigate/engage this cold-ass world, and, how savvy will they be politically?

REMEMBER: As repugnant as Orange Criminal is, he’s the shiny object/distraction. It is the people behind (or in front of) the scenes—the Steve Bannons, Stephen Millers etc—who are truly dangerous. These are the people strategizing for camps, martial law, deportations etc. WAKE UP

The U.S. cable corp news media networks will NEVER throw down the gauntlet to white voters. They say “Black voters this and that” (we vote for DECENCY) but say very little about most white voters voting for FASCISTS and RACISTS. In 2016 and 2020 most white voters in U.S. voted DT.

Oh, so “state’s rights” only comes alive when it comes to oppressing and murdering Black people or preventing female persons from having abortions.

But orange insurrectionists? States aren’t allowed to anything about them.

Think about this: All the nonsense talk in circles of the U.S. corporate news media about “should the Democrats have Biden step down get someone else to run?” while no one in the media say “shouldn’t Republicans tell a 91-count indicted DT to end his bid for the WH?”
