Finished running Nightmare Over Ragged Hollow last night. I will say my players & I thoroughly enjoyed the ride. A great scenario with a few minor nit-picks although I personally felt I needed to punch up the conclusion which I found a tad anti-climatic. 4.5/5 mushy mushrooms.😅

I don’t think I’ve watched it since it originally came out, but I’ve been rewatching Samurai Jack off and on this weekend and I’ve forgotten how fantastic this series was and how every episode can be farmed for exceptional ideas for your game. 🤘🏻

Tonight’s casual read, Different Worlds 34 Special Horror Issue, highlighting Call of Cthulhu. A great issue with a fun Trivia Game from the editor & closing with a brilliant advert for the excellent James Bond 007 RPG. How many of these questions from 1984 can you get right? 🤔

So after reading this I’ve found aside from the minor bit of satanic panic blovations and armchair research, it actually seems to be a somewhat decent cheat sheet to many important aspects of D&D. With a little retooling I can make the BADD Quick Reference Guide to D&D. 😅

I feel many focus way too hard on the “railroad” aspect of TTRPGs vs the aggrandized sanctity of sandboxes. To me, a sandbox is nothing more than an illusionary railroad just with a lot track switches along the way. I don’t really care how I get there as long as I enjoy the ride.
