Leonid Slutsky, a senior lawmaker, claimed that the attacks had “the aim of sowing panic and dividing the people of Russia” and that “the blood of the victims” was also on the hands of the United States.

Of course it's United States that is to blame.

Holy crap, not even ChatGPT would be able to make this shit up.

Russia says U.S. is responsible for deadly Ukrainian attack on Crimea ( www.reuters.com )

MOSCOW, June 23 (Reuters) - Russia said on Sunday that the United States was responsible for a Ukrainian attack on the Russian-annexed Crimean peninsula with five U.S.-supplied missiles that killed at least five people including three children and injured 124 more....

mindlight ,

Then we're two crazies now.

The ties between Hamas and Iran are well documented.
The ties between Russia and Iran are well documented.

In my opinion the likelihood of this happening on that exact date by accident is next to none.

mindlight ,

I'm openly critical against the whole NATO thing and DSA but you're just being silly, ignorant, a troll or all of the above.

I'd rather be a part of the Western military industrial complex than being Ukraine since 2014.

If Russia just could stop aspiring to be the premier asshole of the northern hemisphere, Sweden would still be "neutral" and democratic neighbors of Russia wouldn't be forced to put huge amounts of tax money into arms instead of healthcare.

Russia essentially attacked the guy sitting next to them on the bus because they felt the guy was sitting too close.

Of course everyone on the bus gets scared of the idiot attacking people!

mindlight ,

Yet another sign of the Russian economy boo...aaah f**k... I can't even...

At this point it's just depressing how tankies continue to defend Russia, essentially claiming everything's fine and dandy in Russia, when Russia is sending their own people to the front lines in death traps like this.

Putin offers truce if Ukraine exits Russian-claimed areas and drops NATO bid. Kyiv rejects it ( apnews.com )

Russian President Vladimir Putin promised Friday to “immediately” order a cease-fire in Ukraine and start negotiations if Kyiv began withdrawing troops from the four regions annexed by Moscow in 2022 and renounced plans to join NATO. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy rejected what he called an ultimatum by Putin to...

mindlight ,

Dear president Putin,
We see this as a very reasonable deal.
Will you join president Zelenskyj for a ceremonial signing at Oude Waalsdorperweg 10 tomorrow?

mindlight ,

Yeah, South Africa will submit the paperwork to ICC any day now....

mindlight ,

Well, if he continues on the current path long enough he might be the only male within Russia....

mindlight ,

No. That's not what I wrote. To try to get it to that you'd have to perform quite some acrobatics to be able to leave out "South Africa" from the picture.

South Africa requested not to have to arrest Putin last year. War crimes in Ukraine not the top priority for South Africa then but it seems like they changed their mind about war crimes since last October.
Well, not regarding war crimes in Ukraine it seems though...

One of Russia's top security officials called on Thursday for Russians to mobilise to inflict "maximum harm" on Western societies and infrastructure as payback for increasingly tough sanctions being imposed on Moscow by the U.S. and its allies.

So... The sanctions are tough? You're saying they are having an effect?
Good that we finally get this confirmed.

"We need to (respond). Not only the authorities, the state, but all our people in general. After all, they - the U.S. and its crappy allies - have declared a war on us without rules!,"

This is a lie. The rule that Russia broke was "do not invade neighboring countries and don't murder and rape the civilians".

In his latest comments he spoke of the need to find critical vulnerabilities in Western economies, to target energy, industry, transport, banking and social services, and to stir up social tensions.

Yet again, why focus on this if the Russian economy is booming and sanctions are toothless?

While we can discuss how big the effects of the sanctions on Russia and the Russian economy are, we can conclude that the sanctions have a real tangible and a clearly noticable impact.

mindlight ,

South Africa and BRICS will stand up and demand that Putin will be taken to ICC any day now...

mindlight ,

This will do nothing!
Why would anyone trade USD and EUR on the Moscow Exchange when there's RUB!

Everyone knows that the Russian economy is booming!

mindlight ,

32. The Ministers recalled their national positions concerning the situation in and around Ukraine as expressed in the appropriate fora, including the UN Security Council and UN General Assembly. They noted with appreciation relevant proposals of mediation and good offices aimed at peaceful resolution of the conflict through dialogue and diplomacy.

Holy f...... Russia attacked a sovereign state and thousands have died as a direct result of this and this is what BRICS concluded?

Yeah, that's no world leaders. Many of them are just oil hungry Russian marionettes that are willing to look the other way when Russia commits war crimes.

mindlight ,

"...referring to the “Leahy Law” that prevents U.S. military assistance from going to foreign units credibly found to have committed major human rights violations."

Hmmm...

mindlight ,

My comment was about the enforcement of the law historically in other conflicts than Ukraine.

mindlight ,

It's impossible! Because that would mean that Hamas is hiding among civilians, effectively using them civilians as shields...

mindlight ,

None? I mean.... Otherwise it would mean that Hamas are hiding among civilians.... And they would never......

Said no one ever about porn.

mindlight ,

Porn ("Pornography")

Printed or visual material containing the explicit description or display of sexual organs or activity, intended to stimulate sexual excitement.

While this might be food, there's literally nothing exciting in that picture.

Yet another sign of the Russian economy booming and being totally unaffected by the sanctions....eh...

Russia-China gas pipeline deal stalls over Beijing's price demands, Financial Times reports ( www.reuters.com )

Russia's attempts to conclude a major gas pipeline deal with China have run aground over what Moscow sees as Beijing's unreasonable demands on price and supply levels, the Financial Times reported on Sunday citing three people familiar with the matter....

mindlight ,

Russia will surely say no to China because only desperate states without a booming economy would agree on such terms.

mindlight ,

Yet another sign of the Russian economy booming!
Average Russian now has access to the same combat vehicles as the servicemen at the front lines!

mindlight ,

For anyone interested, Wikipedia has a page on the current hostage situation and some history.

According to Wikipedia, one of the "deals" Hamas has offered Israel was that Isreal release all Palestinian prisoners. That would be thousands of prisoners in exchange for hostages Hamas took on the 7th of October.

mindlight ,

From the Wikipedia page I linked to:

Hamas has offered to release all hostages in exchange for Israel releasing all Palestinian prisoners.

mindlight ,

Is it ok to quote Khalil al-Hayya, senior Hamas official ?

From Al Jazeera:

Khalil al-Hayya, a member of the group’s political bureau, said that Hamas “is serious about releasing Israeli captives within the framework of an agreement” that also ensures the release of thousands of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails.

So to summarize:
The Palestinian prisoners are referred to as prisoners by Hamas. The non combatants taken hostage by Hamas are not referred to as prisoners by Hamas.

Whether you think the terrorist organisation Hamas are paid off by Isreal or not is a different discussion that I'm not interested in taking part in.

It sounds like you're an American citizen. As such you're really not very relevant in the European election....

Have you ever bough an external hardrive only to take the disk out of it?

Hiya, so am looking to buy more storage and while browsing am seeing some external harddisks, such as Western Digital My Book and Seagate Expansion Desktop for cheaper than the internal harddisks themselves. Have seen this one video from KTZ Systems where he bought up multiple of these external ones just to open them up and use...

mindlight ,

Yup. /r/Datahoarder guided me right. Got two of the recommended model of MyBook and shucked them.
This was 2-3 years ago. Disks are still going strong in my NAS.

mindlight ,

Pfffft.... This is not any problem for Russia since the Russian economy is booming!

All Russians are rolling in money nowadays!

mindlight ,

Most likely it was alcohol. It's known to cause some types of cancer.

mindlight ,

If Ukraine ends up significantly decimating the Russian fleet currently in the Black Sea, it exposes the occupied territories for attacks.

Not that Ukraine is going to take back any land this way but the attack surface is way greater than before and Russia has to either move essential assets far from the coast or they have to move resources from the existing front line to new areas.
There is nothing for Russia to gain by diverting resources to the coastal lines since they will either just be able to hold their positions or lose ground. They can never advance.

Of course it all comes down to what resources Ukraine gets their hands on in the coming months and while all of the above looks promising, the reality is significantly darker.

mindlight ,

Today is a slightly better day for the people of Iran. Especially for the women of Iran.

mindlight ,

South Africa is going to speak out about war crimes any day now....

mindlight ,

Funny thing: there's a replica in the harbour of Osaka, Japan.

mindlight ,

Wikipedia first lines summarizes the 7th of October quite well:

Terrorism, in its broadest sense, is the use of violence against non-combatants to achieve political or ideological aims.

Hamas still haven't released the civilian hostages. Hamas hides among civilians. The list goes on and on.

The only sad part is that the Palestinian people once voted for a terrorist organisation to represent them.

People can call Hamas for "Freedom Fighters" all they want but it doesn't erase the fact:

Hamas is a terrorist organisation.

mindlight ,

The amount of next level bending over Putin have been forced to do for Xi the last two years... and just to destabilize the world... Oh my. The pricetag on that one....

Long after the situation is stabilized, Russia will still be paying to China for the help they got.

mindlight ,

The Russians are welcome. Our archers and griffins will feast on them.

German chancellor backs EU plan to use frozen Russian assets to fund Ukraine arms ( www.reuters.com )

Around 90% of the revenues generated from Russian frozen assets should be spent on arms purchases for Ukraine, Chancellor Olaf Scholz said on Monday, supporting an earlier EU proposal to use Russian assets' interest payments to boost Ukraine defence....

mindlight ,

Wait... What?

It's not the assets but the revenue from them that is to be used?

That's really the lamest "sieze" I've heard of...

mindlight ,

I'm not a professional and not living in the US.

  1. Get a Wood Moisture Meter and check everything. If the wood contains more water than it should you have an ongoing problem and there is ongoing microbiological growth.
  2. Some of the Black / Dark parts look like fungus. (In Swedish "svartmögel" which is directly translated to "black mould"). That shit can cause allergies and worse shit.

All in all: get a professional to check this. I'm Sweden we have "building inspectors" that are experts in leakage and mold that checks this for you.

mindlight ,

This is no problem at all for Russia since the Russian economy is booming and all Russians are millionaires!

mindlight ,

Pfffft.... Yet another sign of the Russian economy booming!

mindlight ,

For not having taken civilians as hostages on the 7th of October, Hamas sure releases a lot of videos on civilian hostages...

Anti malware that can detect cracks and flag them as so, but can also distinguish from trojact and malware? Also, that can be configured to don't use too many resources when not required

I was thinking, mbam, have you got other suggestions for Windows 10? Also, is there a good setup for when I'm running games I bought, and I don't need active scanning of threats? (Especially for legit games that use resources intensively)

mindlight ,

I fully agree.

But my main point was that they're taking an extreme risk if they're running without active antivirus and access the network in one or another way.

mindlight ,

Either you're just ignorant or your working in the Russian malware industry.

Remote exploits doesn't have anything to do with you running any infected executables. It's about vulnerabilities in executables that you are running.
Read up on the zx vulnerability or the log4j vulnerability.

One really really old attack vector is a buffer overflow attack.
For example, if you're running a clean VLC to watch a movie and your VLC is older than version 3.0.12 you're at risk.
The video file, that you "purchased" on PirateBay, could have been manipulated to crash VLC and force VLC run a specific payload in the video file.
If that payload is ransomware it's game over for you.

Yeah, just like wearing a seatbelt doesn't guarantee that you don't get injured, antivirus doesn't guarantee that your computer won't get infected.

But there's no doubt about the usefulness of both seatbelt and antivirus.

mindlight ,

I explained what a remote exploit was and gave examples of remote exploits.

Are you claiming that alntivirus is able to detect malware entering through an remote exploit?
