It's like those 35,000+ so far don't count. Let's start with dozens.

mihies ,

What the heck of a programming systems they use? I mean, it's not a rocket science (pun intended). But seriously, it's just some coordinates and stuff to upload to missile. Overcomplicating, centralizing and having only a bunch of those seems like a really bad design.

mihies ,

Unless they get the shells, those are not too useful at all.

mihies ,

I wouldn't hold my breath for Slovenia as we were been there before - all for recognition and then "meh, it can wait", I assume either Israel or US made clear that we shouldn't.

mihies ,

But of course not, we are protecting only countries committing genocide, right?

mihies ,

Ukraine should try doing some genocide, perhaps then it will get desired help 🤷‍♂️

mihies ,

If Ukraine doesn't fall to Russia, that is.

mihies ,

They don't know what war is, probably.

mihies ,

Thanks, Israel, for dragging world into a war just because your genocide.
Edit: missing coma

mihies ,

That's fine but how about sanctions against genocidal Israel? No? Instead send them weapons and ammo, right?

mihies ,

Yep, you are right.

mihies ,

There is always a need for transportation of troops, ie rotation and to/from battlefield. Any armor is better than no armor.

US does not provide Ukraine with capabilities to conduct strikes outside its territory – Pentagon ( www.pravda.com.ua )

The United States does not provide Ukraine with capabilities to conduct strikes outside its territory, focusing instead on ensuring that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have everything they need to defend and protect their own country.

mihies ,

You mean like we provide them with empty promises for last six months or so?

Biden Demands Immediate Gaza Cease-Fire in Call With Israel’s Netanyahu ( www.wsj.com )

He also called on Israel to take immediate steps “to address civilian harm, humanitarian suffering, and the safety of aid workers” and “made clear that U.S. policy with respect to Gaza will be determined by our assessment of Israel’s immediate action on these steps,” according to the White House statement....

mihies ,

So, genocide is fine as long as it ours and we must keep them happy doing it.

mihies ,

How is self hosting better than paying artists?

Meanwhile in N. Korea: US continues to supply weapons to Israel.

Russia exports stolen Ukrainian grain to Türkiye, Libya and Israel, investigation reveals ( www.pravda.com.ua )

A Russian state-owned company exported almost 212,000 tonnes of grain from the occupied part of Zaporizhzhia Oblast in 2023 alone, worth an estimated US$46 million. Ukrainian grain is being shipped to Türkiye, Libya, and Israel. European companies are also involved in the process.

Every product should have a clear EOL path, most preferably a recyclable one. Indeed it should be on manufacturers shoulders to enable it and on legislation to require it.

Russian ambassador rejects Poland's summons over missile in Polish airspace ( kyivindependent.com )

Russia's ambassador to Poland, Sergei Andreyev, has rejected Poland's summons to the Foreign Ministry in connection with the Russian missile that entered Polish airspace on March 24, Russian state news agency RIA Novosti reported on March 25.

mihies ,

Yep, let rather it's warhead blow up some Ukrainian citizens.

mihies ,

I bet that they would push it back to Ukraine if possible.

Android users who have a keen eye for design and detail, how is the whole stutter/lag situation? Esp. after a few years of use?

I haven't used an Android device since my last one, the Galaxy S8. Beautiful hardware, beautiful design, but it was plagued with animation stutters and dropped frames. I switched to an iPhone and an iPad around 6 years ago. And the animations were buttersmooth. It was almost unthinkable to achieve such a fluid interface on any...

mihies ,

Nah, it's not GC unless lists are really poorly implemented.

mihies ,

Yep, that's the case. Who knows what's causing lags. It still can be a poorly implemented list, it could be OS doing something else it could be something else. It would be interesting testing same app on different devices.

ISW: Economic, military indicators suggest Russia is preparing for large-scale war with NATO ( kyivindependent.com )

Although not an imminent threat, the ISW assesses that Russian President Vladimir Putin's emphasis on growing Russia's economic and military capabilities is an indication that Russia is gearing up for conflict beyond "a protracted war in Ukraine."

mihies ,

Nah, it's just but possible for poorly equipped Russian army that struggles against also poorly equipped (mostly scarce and older generation heavy weapons, almost no airplanes and old choppers etc) Ukrainian army. I really don't see how could they wage war against serious weapons and plenty of fresh and trained soldiers NATO members have. The only option would be a nuclear attack but then there is no winner, is it? If I had to guess that's more war industry sending fear to benefit from it.

mihies ,

They will run out of people before achieving real advancement, NATO would stop them with better weapons. Let's take for example Avdiivka - one of the biggest factor there were gliding bombs dropped from bombers out of Ukraine air defense reach. Mostly. NATO has plenty of air superiority aircrafts that would smoke out of sky those bombers way before they could drop anything. Then there are precision long range weapons such as proper ATACMS, Taurus and whatnot. I could go on and on :-)

mihies ,

I hope that we will never find out...

mihies ,

Nice of Russia to not have any defense against air attacks. It's not like their refineries are under attack lately or something,🤦‍♂️

mihies ,

Meanwhile on the front, Ukrainian soldiers are outgunned and pushed back each day. 🤷‍♂️

mihies ,

Food from stolen lands enter the chat.

mihies , (edited )

Interestingly they are shot outside of Patriot range if I'm not mistaken. Obviously they introduced something we'll learn after Russians figure it out.
Edit: typo

mihies , (edited )

Yep, they have, but none has a great range, like S-400 for example (at least in paper). Who knows, perhaps Russians are flying too close but still, it's like 4 days in a row.
Edit: the->4

mihies ,

Oh, absolutely. And they actually do, at least one per day.

mihies ,

Hopefully this stuff won't be used in Palestine..

mihies ,

3990 shells sound like a game changer /s

mihies ,

I agree that the whole West is doing a half assed support, Germany being way above average in some aspects. However, there is no mention that those are weekly (perhaps I overlooked) and even if they were, it's still ridiculously low quantity compared to Russian's. OTOH as you said, better than nothing. BTW In didn't mean it like Germany should do more, I meant it like West is doing a very poor job.

mihies ,

Yeah, well, they already lost even if they manage to overpower Ukraine. With all the sanctions on high tech, spending absurd money on military and it's equipment, loosing working population big time etc. there is no way that they will avoid backtracking to middle ages level.

mihies ,

Who can tell them though? US, which is actively enabling genocide not to mention other atrocities it made all over the world?

Unrwa chief says Israel has not yet presented evidence on its accusations ( www.middleeasteye.net )

The UN agency Unrwa’s commissioner general, Philippe Lazzarini, has told the Financial Times that Israel has yet to present any evidence to it over its accusations that around a dozen Unrwa staff had been involved in the 7 October attacks against Israel....

mihies ,

Wait, didn't UNRWA already got rid of those 12 or something? Without evidence no less?

mihies ,

Poor robots. Let's make wars virtual instead and no robots get harmed.

mihies ,

Opt in would be the only proper option

U.S. and Israel Finalize Major Military Aircraft Deals Amid Gaza War ( www.haaretz.com )

Progress was made toward the procurement of three new squadrons: a third squadron of F-35s with 25 planes; a new squadron of F-15s with 25 planes; and an additional squadron of Apache attack helicopters, ostensibly involving 12 aircraft. Purchases will be made using U.S. aid provided to Israel.

mihies ,

That makes sense as schools, hospitals and refugee camps are incredibly strong to demolish. It's also not the easiest task to slaughter tens of thousands of children and women. I'm glad that these tasks will now be a tiny bit easier for Israelis. Every help counts. /s

mihies ,

And they beat AMD in efficiency! I'm (not) surprised that people ignore this important aspect which matters in noise, heat and power usage.
