The network is expected to make a decision..shortly, according to a person with knowledge of the matter who asked not to be identified. Puck reported earlier Tuesday that the network, owned by Comcast Corp., planned to drop McDaniel.

A bond is a loan. It needs to be backed up by sufficient funds. If not, there is a risk of default, like any other bond. It will be interesting to see if Ms. Carroll is satisfied with the surety of her rapist's bond.

It is extremely frustrating that the only thing that can legally be done is voting these rat bastard traitors out take back control of the House, keep the Senate, and re-elect Biden/Harris. Unless Trump and the manufacture a win or attempt another coup. Then, IMO, all bets are off and we are fighting a resistance movement.

    While the New York Times is busy discussing how "harsh" the Trump penalties are, but assuring us that he is a really rich guy and can afford it (won't link because you know the kind of stuff they write), Ali Velshi @velshi is interviewing Michael Cohen https://mastodon.world/@velshi/111948134527878488, who actually might know. Cohen gives Trump's stated finances much less credibility, plus says the overall penalties will likely be much greater in the end due to the IRS and state tax authorities now taking up the case.

    Michael Cohen, who should know, says Trump does not have the assets to cover the fines from the judgements against him. His real estate is insufficient, has mortgages, and any profits would be subject to capital gains. He just doesn't have the money, and no way to raise it.

    @mastodonmigration Yup. I have no doubt that Cohen is correct. However, winning a judgement is one thing, collecting on it is another and will do everything he can to avoid paying. I'm guessing that a declaration of bankruptcy by the very stable genius won't help him politically :)

    @mastodonmigration To the extent that some of the judgements represent debt to a government, then yes they have more ability to collect. E.Jean Carroll is a different story, though I suspect her lawyers will be as effective as they can be in collecting

    @GottaLaff Some people....they just do things that demonstrates to the world that they have a screw loose. This is one of those examples. Never heard of him before - just a GA MAGA backbencher - but he merits having an eye kept on him when the election gets down to brass tacks.
