    Agreed. The Lords are going to push back on this as hard as they can, and there's not a whole lot of sitting time (although I suppose Sunak could recall Parliament at some point) for it to get finalised, although that depends when the election is called. He might wait until Jan just so he can get this done.

    @RolloTreadway @Roadwarrior29 Any Lords amendments will be in the wrong direction for Sunak to keep the headbangers on board, anyway.
    I wouldn't put it past him to recall in the summer - he's just too arrogant to let the possibility slide. Unless it interferes with holibobs in Cali, of course.
    Some commentary saying the called the presser basically to beg the Lords to pass it unamended. Like that would ever work.
    As usual, we shall see and, as always, it'll be messy and embarrassing.

    @RolloTreadway Oooh, I've never tried that! I've got a bamboo steamer but I hardly ever drag it out of the cupboard. I've got these tube things for cooking veg - chuck it in, fill with boiling water and 5 mins later - hey presto! They even have little colander things on the top. Best tenner I've spent lately 👍

    @RolloTreadway I dreamt that Gwyneth Paltrow and Toni Collette (or someone like them) were being manipulated by a good-looking guy and his less good-looking sidekick to fight each other over who got to go out with them, then Paltrow and Collette picked me up at the station in her car, I heard the back wheel making a noise, and stupid Paltrow didn't know what an MOT was. I just managed to persuade her she'd been conned by pretty guy and to get out of the car before it exploded 🤷‍♀️
