Britain used to have the most polluted beaches in the EU, because UK sewage is led via channels directly into the sea.

Fortunately, UK politicians have now solved the problem… by leaving the EU, so the country does now show up in environmental statistics.

But the problem is now even worse in the UK.

On Tuesday, Arizona reinstated the 1864 law that bans nearly all abortions in the state.

That is right. Arizona now limits women’s rights with an old law, which was written before women were recognized as thinking human beings who could vote.

Did Arizona politicians read the script to The Handmaid’s Tale and mistake it for a book on how to improve society?

@randahl Fortunately the Governor said they aren’t going to enforce it and there is going to be a ballot measure in November to get rid of it. I am not a lawyer, but given that it was still on the Arizona law books and with the US Supremes’ revocation of Roe Vs Wade it was no longer blocked. So some sort of action would be needed to get rid of the terrible law.
