Sounds like something that someone with a head injury might say...

Objective c, mostly. 😐

But also the fact that other operating systems run better on their hardware. Linux on apple silicon outperforms macos on that same hardware. A tiny team is porting software to your platform almost completely in the dark.

It kinda feels like they did this to themselves in France at least. If they weren't so help bent on raising the requirement retirement age, people might've not flipped so hard. And of course it won't get fixed and they'll have other issues, but people don't often think that far ahead...

Yes, thanks! My thumbs aren't as awhile as they one were.

Compiler output only marginally better than working with c++

No one claims it's faster at runtime than good C++, it's just a lot easier to write decent code

I think they're referring to warning and error content. Compared to things like rust, deciphering error notifications from the c# compiler can sometimes feel like trying to figure out what a child with limited vocabulary is trying to tell you.

Even with decades of personal experience with it, they can be confusing and non-informative sometimes for me.

Right now I'm terrified that we will have to add local storage to handle this garbage. We use small disks intentionally to push our users to use the network storage, which is backed up. Instead of local storage which is not. I don't need microsoft keylogging and screencapping my tiny disks to death.

This article could've gotten paid more if it hadn't stayed on forbes for nine years and instead jumped publishers.

Free for now. If they wanted to let you keep using it for free they would have said so in the notices.

If you keep using it they'll keep thinking you're a possible income source.

Redbacks are a related bit different spider. But yes, Aussies have redbacks.

How to fix Korea's birthrate? Put girls in school earlier, controversial report argues ( koreajoongangdaily.joins.com )

"Notably, Chang's report claims that biological females develop earlier than males do, so requiring girls to enter school at younger ages will create classes in which the two sexes are of more equal maturity as they age. This, the author posits, makes it more likely that those classmates will be attracted to each other, and...

I honestly wouldn't recommend this for any server, and probably not for a workstation. This is useful for learning but could easily be a nightmare when troubleshooting an issue on a remote machine.

It's always a great idea to do updates when you can give them your attention. Even if it's you triggering them via ansible or other automation.

Probably shouldn't have taken their revolvers away...

Yes, politics. That's what is going on. Politics

bhamlin ,

Alarmingly, no. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.

Johnny Cash's cover of Hurt. Trent came off a bit whiny. Cash... it's his song now.

bhamlin ,

I've had the exact opposite experience. Only once has the second button down from the right not worked. But in that instance it was the bottom right button.

Upgrade those MILFs to GILFs with this one weird trick!

bhamlin ,

But golden showers sound so optimistic!

bhamlin ,

Yes, that's what it was.

"Tricked"

Why didn't I think of that?

I came here to show love for Robertson, but it looks like I didn't need to. You guys are the best. 😁

This feels like it's missing the point. AI can't pay tuition...

In figure A, you can clearly see how The Quickening stops the heart of the defeated Highlander to preserve any energy left for the victor.

I don't have their reason, but a big one is that hot liquids can hold more things. It's why adding sugar to hot tea and cooling it is better than using cold tea. Warm/hot vinegar will dissolve hard water remnants faster and with less manual input than cold/room temp vinegar.

bhamlin ,

It's nice to see my shitposting being appreciated.

It's one you can use. The position we normally see is actually not really all that great for childbirth. It generally leads to more tearing, but doctors use it for easy access. Squatting or bent over like that can be easier and more comfortable for the woman. It's just harder to get all up in there to see what's going on.

Cisco doesn't pay for outages they actually cause. There's no way they're paying for an outage someone else caused, even if it was Cisco's shitty instructions that were the problem.

bhamlin ,

Maybe they could use butt plugs. They've done so much for chess...

bhamlin ,

Perhaps? This includes functionality to extract the contained files though, which cat doesn't do. Tar basically does what this does, but metadata in tar is not human readable.

bhamlin ,

Nothing. Slackware is perfect and complete.

bhamlin ,

Well, there's a minimum age requirement. Any one running for that office will need to meet that. And it's kinda "old."

It looks like you need a phone! Here are our top advertisers of mobile phone cases!

After a baton left damage, a boot definitely won't fit.

I don't know that I'd really add more. It all depends on who and what you're protecting against. The only thing that's secure is something that doesn't exist.

National level hackers have access to resources you might not be able to think of. And if they really want in, rubber hose cryptography is super effective. But most "hackers" on the Internet? And encrypted zip is often enough to deter them. Not impossible, but you might not be worth the time and effort.

In summary, there is better. Much better than an encrypted zip file. But only you can judge if you're a juicy enough target to pursue more esoteric protection.

bhamlin ,

I dunno, it worked once it could work again...

bhamlin ,

Don't worry, there's plenty of legitimate outrage to be had without manufacturing it...

bhamlin ,

I, for one, welcome our new space wife.
