@gwynnion yeah, my Twitter experience was reasonably pleasant because I curated the people I was seeing and didn't engage with a lot of random accounts (and deleted it as soon as Elon was confirmed to become the owner)

My 18 year old cat likes to curl up, knead me like a kitten. But she does not like to be observed doing this, she waits until I'm asleep.

This is when I dream about something soft & humming & a little prickly burrowing into me. "I suppose this is my fate" I think in the dream. And I'm happy that being excavated isn't as unpleasant as I thought it would be.

But, then later there is silky fur under my half-awake hand: in a haze I see a cat stop & pretend to be cleaning her paw.

the anti-fluoride people are back... I mean, if you like anti-vax stuff why not? It's the same swindle.

"precious bodily fluids" and all that.

I hate the taste of mint so I'm always looking for toothpaste that tastes better... I was horrified to discover that if you go of the beaten path with toothpaste there are 100s of brands with "no fluoride" which only a tiny number of people really need... Be careful if you use a "crunchy" brand ... fluoride is amazing.

    I can't believe I even have to say this, but it is not normal that the Supreme Court is taking its sweet time to decide if the president can incite an insurrection to overturn an election and maintain power. This should have been decided already. The answer is no!

    @futurebird they've always been coming as far as we'll let them. Anyone who thinks there's some kind of demarcation point where they'll say "alright, this is too medieval" is far too optimistic. They snuck a march on us with the Obama era judge blockade, and we'll live with the consequences of all those appointments by Trump for a long time, but we can push back the same way they did on Roe.
