Dear @firefox : Please stop saving images as webp when I drag them out of the browser. Forever stop that. Even if they are webp originally, just give me a setting to auto-convert them to JPEG. When I get a webp file the first thing I have to do is convert it manually if I'm going to do anything with it.

I also find this insulting even as a linux user myself.

OP you can try GIMP in the meantime as Firefox exports WEBP. There is also a portable version by PortableApps.

Anyone know of a good wiki/knowledge base software that is portable?

I have a bookstack instance self-hosted and I quick like the program and workflow. I like having 'books' of information to separate/organize my information. It feels very much like folder heirarchy to me, and while that has its issues, I prefer it. Being able to add tags to pages helps alleviate some of those issues and helps...

How responsive is your Nextcloud?

My Nextcloud has always been sluggish — navigating and interacting isn't snappy/responsive, changing between apps is very slow, loading tasks is horrible, etc. I'm curious what the experience is like for other people. An issue I have with AIO is I can't use an internal IP address, and I'm required to have a domain or revese proxy.

OwnCloud for now, NC for the manual install.

Fusion 360 increasing annual price to $680 USD ( lemmy.world )

Got this email from Autodesk that Fusion is increasing their annual price by a huge amount. I subbed for 1 year a couple years ago for I think $380. Then I was able to get an educational sub after that. Fusion is still the cheapest CAD software out there, not including the free stuff like FreeCAD, but still, this price...
