This is a very non scientific answer, but when I was a kid (good 40 years ago) I remember having a science book that called TV static "an echo of the big bang". I guess that would mean just randomly scattered energy bouncing around on all bands?...

I could probably Google it and give you an answer, but I'll just wait for someone with a more convincingly and authoritatively written reply.

Because the original Joker design is not just something that occurred in nature, out of nowhere. It was created by another artist(s) who don't get credit or compensation for their work.

When YouTube "essayists" cobble script together by copy pasting paragraphs and changing some words around and then then earn money off the end product with zero attribution, we all agree it's wrong. Corporations doing the same to images are no different.

This shit happened on Biden's watch though and his administration seems helpless in doing anything about it...

I still believe in voting for candidate that will do the least amount of damage, but Democrats really need to get their shit together with the messaging, agenda and some kind of clear plan.

Damnit people, can't you read? Where did I ever say it's Democrats' fault? It is clearly the Republican/Conservative doing.

What I am saying, again, is:
It is not fair to use the argument of "You need to elect me to prevent this stuff from happening" when it happened while Biden was in office. You are already elected. Why after one year little-to-nothing was done to undo it? How will getting you elected again be any different from right now? Why aren't you stopping the destruction of this country and its systems now?

Once again:
I voted for Biden and I will again. Lesser evil and all that. I just get pissed off at the hypocrisy of the Democratic party. Let's not forget, right after Roe vs Wade was overturned, they run a huge fundraiser based on the same premise. Fundraiser was a success. Nothing has changed for millions of American women who had their rights taken away.

That hall of fame Reddit thread where a guy announced he will try heroin just one time, then comes back to explain how the experience was and how he will try again. Over the course of many posts we see persons entire life unravel as other posters scream of the top of their lungs for him to stop.

Never figured if it was real or scripted, but hella effective.

Wikipedia is amazing

I feel like not enough people appreciate the simple fact that Wikipedia is essentially the most well-organized and complete collection of human knowledge in existence, and furthermore, it's available to everyone who has access to the internet for free in dozens of languages....

Wikipedia and Archive.org are two of the most fantastic projects in existence. Their contributions to humanity rival NASA imho.

Screw that. Quitting is healthy, quitting is good. Nothing worse than digging yourself deeper and deeper based on sunk cost fallacy.
