Not mention that those of us who went college long ago, tuition was much MUCH less expensive & interest was capped at 3%. Even with service/retail jobs, I was able to repay my loans. The cost of living was lower then too. We owe it, not only to today’s students but to the country as a whole to have this education debt forgiveness. It just makes economic sense.

    I'm suddenly getting phishing emails claiming to be from PayPal. (That go directly to Spam, yes)

    I’ve been getting some of those too. There’s an email address at PayPal you can forward them to (can’t recall it off hand but you can find at real PayPal site) and presumably they try to track them down, before you delete them. So tired of scammers, spammers, and jerks 😖🤯🤬😵‍💫

    @GottaLaff oh wow! I just delete the Nortons ones (which I do not have either) I just started sending the PayPal ones to their phishing reporting mailbox before deleting them. Most of them I can see in the preview so don’t even open the ones that end up in my junk mail. I clear those out daily so they’re not lurking, & sometime catch things that should not have gone to spam folder.

    I appreciate that Mitt did the right thing this time. He has done the right thing several times before, and while I will ALWAYS be happy that Obama was president rather than Mitt, I appreciate his (sometimes) principled stand. I hope he will quietly vote for Biden, though I doubt he would publicly support him.
    Also glad he shut the whole VP for Manchin thing down. I believe he will not actively do something to get tfg elected.

    I don’t know if this is a fair judgement, but I am inordinately suspicious of people who have been here for over a year and not added a profile picture or header. Call me a visual chauvinist if you want, but it seems like the least you could do if you are an actual person. (obs. if you are visually impaired you might not consider this important, but even some accounts that note visual impairment have gone to the effort to represent themselves with profile pics)
