And again, I would like to remind everyone that the Comstock Law was dreamed up by a 19th century misogynist pervert. Just like the current members of GOP the GOP and Trump are, in fact.

The Supreme Court just overturned a federal ban on bump stocks, the device that let the Las Vegas shooter injure more than 500 people and kill 60 within minutes.

80% of Americans supported the ban — even Trump!

SCOTUS has once again defied the will of the people.

Here's the text of the 2nd Amendment:

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

There is NOTHING in that amendment that says what KINDS of "Arms" people can "keep and bear." Congress and SCOTUS could regulate the KINDS of "arms" IF both weren't in the pockets of the gun manufacturers.

Not to mention the fact that the "WELL REGULATED" part of this unholy amendment is always ignored.

I'm not a lawyer, but if I was, I'd be challenging this ruling and every other ruling that gives testosterone-laden jerks the ability to purchase armories which they use to take away my right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Finally, how does SCOTUS justify having an armed, potentially violent public when the Preamble says the government was formed to "insure domestic tranquility?"

When a uterus is more heavily regulated than a gun, that’s when you know it’s a war on women.

    @Strandjunker

The 2nd Amendment says NOTHING about the kinds of "arms" that "people" can "bear." That says to me that Congress, or even the states, have the right to regulate the kinds of arms allowed in their jurisdictions.

COVID is not over. Scientists are worried about bird flu. We need to be ready for the next pandemic. Right now we need to depoliticize and normalize mask-wearing. North Carolina’s anti-mask bill recklessly does the exact opposite.

I wonder how many Americans will fly off into the great beyond if mismanages a bird flu pandemic like he did the pandemic? Will he tell us that eating bird seed will prevent it? Or maybe we should be injecting sugar water while humming about how great Trump is?

    1. Set up most of Texas as useless sprawl forcing car usage
    2. Make sure public transport is non existent
    3. Make regulations a joke because freedom
    4. Go big on big oil
    5. Make your car’s AC more reliable than the grid
    6. Tell people not to use their cars because—oops—pollution

Democratic members of the select subcommittee on the coronavirus pandemic defended Dr. Anthony ahead of Monday's hearing about the response, policies & transparency.

The representatives blasted ’ claims of Fauci’s involvement in starting [for real they had to say this] or covering up the pandemic as a “dangerous” & “cartoonish” narrative.

And the lunatics don't want anyone to remember that the reason so many Americans died was because Trump criminally mismanaged the pandemic. So, they're trying to deflect blame onto Dr. Fauci instead.

One of them looks distinctly boomer-like. But I thought all boomers voted for Trump? That is, according to the polls and pundits. 🙄

I know! It depends on the demographics. A boomer in Florida is probably more likely to vote for Trump than a boomer in northern Illinois.

I agree with you. I don't think social media are the only ones to exploit the term "boomer" as almost a derogatory one meaning "conservative old people," though. I've seen it over the years just in plain old "mainstream media," too.

Indiana University's "Liberation Commencement" was a celebration of the students' brave commitment to fighting powerful institutions and their involvement in challenging Zionism and the Palestinian genocide.

Having lived on the Navajo Reservation for a brief time, I can tell you that there were quite a few Whites that the Navajos would have happily kicked off the reservation. I suspect that's also true in Canada. Are there reservations for Native Americans in Mexico? I didn't think so. How about the Maori?

Wouldn't it be possible to consider Israel a "reservation" for Jews? Jews are obviously not safe anyplace else.

The 1948 Arab-Israel war wasn't started by Israel, as such. It was started by Arabs in reaction to the formation of Israel.

I'm sure the Jews at the Tree of Life Synagogue didn't feel so safe after 11 of them were gunned down.

“It is time for this war to end”, says Biden and presents a proposed peace deal between Israel and Hamas, which involves the exchange of Israeli hostages for Palestinian prisoners, a ceasefire, substantial humanitarian aid, and the beginning of a reconstruction of Gaza.

I applaud Biden for trying, and at the same time I question why Hamas is being negotiated with. The terror organisation has no future. The Palestinians deserve a free democracy.

Hamas has been in charge of the Gaza strip since 2017, That's why negotiations have to be made with Hamas.
