Sometimes I have a hard time believing what I see, when I follow Trump on social media…

But I promise you, this is a real screenshot of what Trump has shared yesterday: A picture of God protecting him, containing a prayer asking God to strike down all enemies who [actual quote:] “what to harm him”.

After an entire week exposing Trump's crimes and extramarital affairs, he is sharing God memes — no political agenda, no vision for America.

This is not a party — it is a cult.

@GottaLaff where do you land on gun control? I'm for more stringent bckgrnd checks and holding periods. And I'm very much left but, call me a fool, I still do believe that being able to own guns even automatics, is important for the purpose of the citizenry being able to defend themselves against a tyrannical government. As in the military being used domestically against our own people. I know that sounds like an impossible fantasy but it didn't seem that way to those writing the bill of rights

@GottaLaff However as I was saying in the beginning there should be compulsory required education on firearms safety and very stringent background checks. I mean that there should be serious regulation going on instead of handing them out with a free slim Jim at the county fair

@GottaLaff right, and I know in the modern day it is ridiculous to think our own gov is going to attack its own citizens But I can't shake the feeling that the state having a monopoly on violence and guns is a bad idea. Of course I understand this kind of theoretical semantics measured against real outcomes of gun violence is horribly inadequate. But still, do you really believe that humanity has moved beyond ever needing weapons or the ability to form a militia? History does have precedent
