Also it would take too long to build the nuclear plants. I’m all for building them but they’ll take like 10+ years. In the meantime we need to use solar/wind + batteries.

ITV seem to be so mismanaged. I know money is tight in TV these days but they should at least be breaking even on their big shows.

In my opinion they only occasionally have good shows like this and the rest is a bit crap. Plus ITV X (or whatever it’s called this month) is the worst streaming service app I have ever tried to use.

PubKit Officially Launches Closed Beta ( wedistribute.org )

PubKit is a spinoff project from Pixelfed, and is used by the project's lead developer to actually develop Pixelfed. It has some pretty great ideas about mocking up entities and data, testing data streams, and working with different server implementations to see where pieces might differ.

The problem any introduction of large animals has is that we don’t really have many “wild” spaces anymore.
This is a map that shows the area of the Uk within 500 m of a road

For such a shy species as the Lynx, it will be trapped within pockets unable to really spread fully.

Granted Northumberland is better than the south of England but it’s not great either. And that’s just the area >500m away from a road. Road noise can travel much further than that, limiting their usable habit even further

Yeah in mastodon you can block a whole instance. That’s why some servers are against threads but don’t want to defederate as they see it as the users choice

There’s always been that undercurrent of hate. The first few comments on any immigration story was enough to see that.

The entire point of the “fediverse” is to combat the network effect. Don’t like Lemmy? Move to another app and still communicate with people on Lemmy. Plus it’s all open, can’t find an app you like? Build one or wait for someone to build one you like.
