The thing about a "strong" "leader"? Eventually you'll be the one targeted when things get desperate enough. No matter how much you think you are the kind of person who wouldn't be.

@randahl Reason is the Devils Ass Trumpet! Reason will not get you the howling bloodthirsty mobs so necessary for today's politics. There are cracks in the facade that savanna murder apes can be Civilized. We can be. But historically golden ages last about 15 yrs. Why not longer? Murder apes being murder apes.

It's the biggest package ever given to a Boeing CEO.

In 2016 Trump pledged to ban abortion & punish anyone who gets one.

His judicial picks overturned Roe.

He's surrounded himself with sworn enemies of reproductive rights.

No matter how much backtracking he tries to do, know that he will ban abortion if given a chance.

Amazon and Space X are fighting in court to have the National Labor Relations Board declared unconstitutional.

This means the two richest men on earth want to dismantle the agency that holds them accountable for union busting.

Nothing terrifies them more than worker power.

Trump asked that SCOTUS grant him absolute immunity to avoid being prosecuted for trying to overturn the 2020 election.

He said a ruling against him would "incapacitate every future president."

But he's the only president who's tried to incite an insurrection. Hello?

No one is thinking beyond Biden. Normal is a fading memory, however popular it is politically.
What is the plan if/when the Constitution falls and the federal govt is torpedoed? I'm hearing NOTHING.
That IS the plan WHEN Republicans regain the White House, if they don't pre-emptively burn down the Capitol Building?

Trump's 2nd-term economic agenda would hurt workers & kids to help the rich. He wants to:

-Cut taxes more for the rich
-Defund the IRS so the rich can cheat
-End student loan forgiveness
-End overtime rules
-Slash school lunches
-Allow child labor
-Weaken unions

Be warned.

@GottaLaff @willbunch No. Everyone knows how authoritarian and bloodthirsty he is.
They just don't think it will have anything to do w them. And it was only one? Two? generations ago white families were crying "But things like that don't happen here!" about school shootings.
Clearly never heard the genuine Nazi argument that just because someone is a good person is no reason not to kill them.
They should probably know about that.
