Are there any billionaires who actively use their wealth for good?
I only know about 2 and even those idk if I should count.
One was some guy that gave all his billions to charity and kept for himself only one million.
Other is bezos's ex wife, as far as I know she periodically sends very large sums of money to charity.

Idk I feel like writing a check for charity is not good enough, they could be so much more active and done lot more if they idk... build hospital, shool.... cheap housing etc.

I need help with my first home server. Permission/ownership and samba issues.

I have been using linux for a couple of years already, very casually, just browser, media, games. Recently I bought dell micro pc and installed proxmox on it. I don't have a lot of hdds or raid or anything, just one 6tb usb external drive. I know, I could lose everything, but I don't have anything important in there, just media....

Thx for providing some alternative. I think I will still try to first make it work with mount points and local users. But I appreciate your post and will keep it in mind if I need to use it later.

Ok, that doesn't sound hard. I hope there are no more unforeseeable problems. When I create the new user in containers, should I create the same user in proxmox host and change ownership of the hdd, and all existing files in it, to it? Probably yes, right? Don't have time today again, will try it tomorrow after work.

Thx this sounds like the best solution. Definitely trying it out. Idk how well I will be able to do it, Because I didn't even made those containers myself. I just used proxmox helper scripts. Something came up today and I didn't have time again, will try it tomorrow.

If refresh rate and ghosting is reasonable for scrolling I could see myself using it. For movies and games I would just turn on second monitor.

In some states you cant even live on a salary of a teacher and people are forced to work secondary or part time jobs.
Of course, teaching is beter for sociaty than making videos for onlyfans, but I don't blame her one bit.

There is no way I am putting proprietary hardware and especially proprietary software into my brain.

I use custom degoogled rom and custom DNS server on my phone, so I minimized the tracking to minimum.

Either way brain chip and phone are a lot different. One you can easily discard, other one you cant. I don't want to dream coca cola ads at night. What happens when they stop supporting / updating it. There is probably something in their contract, where they can force you back on the operating table to take the chip back, if they don't like something that you did, or they are running out of money etc.

Is this book good? I really liked the first one, but the second one was a mess. Read it a year ago and I cant even remember what it was about. They were visiting some planet for something, there was an emperor or something and harrow was trying to kill him I think. Dont remember how it ended. Who is this nona supposed to be?
