But will it have Booster Gold? C'mon DC, we need that bromance in these dark times.

Gross. I don't care who you are, President Cop is gonna be a no from me, dog.

Bigger even than 1989 Belgian techno anthem "Pump up the Jam".

I forgot about Mr Show.

They also did a brief revival on Netflix a few years ago, "w/Bob & David". I think it kept the spirit pretty well.

I need to give this one another look. I watched a few episodes a while back, and it wasn't bad, but it was weird. It felt kind of like watching interdimensional cable from Rick & Morty.

Also fantastic, can't believe I forgot to include this one. Not only are they hilarious, but it's fun to rewatch them knowing Jordan Peele would go on to start making a name in horror. You can see the roots of that in a lot of their sketches.

When I was a lad I had two dozen health, in encounters to help me tank hiiiits!

But now that I'm grown, I have twelve dozen health, so I pretty much don't give a shiiiit!

Ah yes, Tentacles the Kraken-layer. I understand tales of his feat made it even to the farthest east.

I'll always recommend Exiles. It's what happens when X-Men and Sliders have a baby. A ragtag group of B-to-C tier mutants solve problems and wreak havoc across the multiverse.

And fuck I love Morph!

Idk who this Cervantes guy is, but I suspect Misters Hanna and Barbera would like a word with him:

And would sometimes accuse chestnuts of being lazy?

I want Insomniac or somebody to do an open-city Gargoyles game like Spider-Man or the Arkhamverse.

I've heard of Orion's belt, this must be Orion's donk.

Maybe it's because he did the voice on Family Guy, but I'm reading Death as Norm Macdonald here.

Are airports not owned by the states/counties/cities they're located in? Why is this even up to Congress to decide?

Jim Butcher. He sits firmly and unapologetically in his fantasy niche, so if that's not your thing you may be disappointed, but the man writes good dialogue and he can turn a phrase.

So, when you remove what I assume is an announcement bot and lizard people from the equation, the answer is George Takei? Yeah, that sounds about right.

Replay by Ken Grimwood.

A man dies in 1988 and wakes back up as himself in the 60s, but with current memories.

I think people can probably take different things from this book, but one thing I got out of it was an appreciation for the fact that I very likely wouldn't have any of the things I treasure in life, had some of my tragedies not adjusted my course.

Even if you could go back and "do things right", you're a different person with all your future experiences. What if in trying to fix the past, you lost something you couldn't live without?

Even just being the Flash and living faster than everyone else around you would be torture.

The Ballad of Barry Allen by Jim's Big Ego explores this from The Flash's perspective.

There's also Quicksilver's classic rant about it:

Well, I can't say I can name even one of her songs, but if she triggers magats and has Luke Skywalker on her side, then I guess it's time to get Swiftie in here or whatever.

What the fuck is with the scale here? How can you even fit meatballs in there if grapes and melons are that close?

I'm sure it would have been terrible, but part of me wants to see how Terry Farrell would have done as Cat.

So it's all been leading up to We Have Lex Luthor At Home taking over the mantle of Florida Man?

Apeman42 ,

So the timeline of the new Trek movies starts with the villain Nero going back in time. When he gets there, he destroys a ship called the USS Kelvin. That ship was not destroyed in the original Star Trek timeline, so the new timeline is called that because the Kelvin's destruction was the first major point of divergence that lead to the other changes in that timeline

Breath of Fire was a great turn-based RPG series that I don't think ever got enough recognition. 1-4 are all fairly solid (we don't talk about Dragon Quarter), but 2 and especially 3 are my favorites.

As long as she brings Grandpa Richard too. Can't have a lemon party without old Dick.

I could possibly understand Bog, Valley, Tundra, Oasis, or Isthmus as names. I've heard stupider names.

Apeman42 ,
@Apeman42@lemmy.world avatar

An isthmus is a relatively narrow strip of land separating two bodies of water, and linking two larger landmass.

An easy example is how central America has that thin bit that connected to South America before they dug the Panama canal. The Suez canal crosses another isthmus that we dug through like that.
